The MSCHA type high-voltage automatic reactive power compensation device automatically switches capacitor banks connected in parallel to the 3~20kV busbar of the distribution transformer in steps, based on the reactive load condition of the transformer, to provide corresponding capacitive reactive power. The device adopts a modular unit design, with each step forming an independent circuit and each circuit housed in a separate cabinet. The number of cabinets (circuits) can be expanded to increase capacity. Series reactors suppress harmonics and inrush currents, while step-by-step switching significantly improves the busbar power factor and stabilizes it at a certain level, thereby stabilizing the system voltage and enhancing transformer utilization.
